Meraas and Caesars Entertainment Plan to Bring Caesars Palace to Dubai

Meraas and Caesars Entertainment Corporation (Nasdaq: CZR), one of the world's most innovative hospitality and entertainment companies, plan to bring two luxury hotels, a conference centre and a beach club to Bluewaters. Bluewaters is the modern, family-oriented destination that is located on a manmade island off the coast of Jumeirah Beach Residence. 

The plans emphasize Meraas’ relentless efforts to support Dubai Tourism Vision 2020, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, by introducing the most exclusive destinations to the Emirate. For Caesars Entertainment, Bluewaters will be the first project in its plan to expand into new markets through licensing and management arrangements. Caesars Entertainment plans to offer new experiences in Dubai by applying its approach to operating integrated leisure and hospitality resorts, offering a unique mix of live entertainment, gourmet celebrity restaurants and the highest-level of service to Bluewaters guests.

The planned collaboration between Meraas and Caesars Entertainment supports the objective of the Dubai Plan 2021 to diversify economic activities to enhance productivity and innovation, and drive sustainable development. Through such efforts, Meraas also aspires to enhance Dubai’s overall lifestyle offering to reinforce the emirate’s reputation as the preferred place to live, work and visit.

Over the past five years, Meraas has invested in an innovative AED18 billion portfolio of key leisure and entertainment projects that includes attractions such as Dubai Parks and Resorts, Roxy Cinemas, Hub Zero, Mattel Play! Town, The Green Planet, Dubai Arena, Ain Dubai, Laguna Waterpark and the latest addition – Dubai Safari.

Caesars Entertainment’s entry into the region through Bluewaters is anticipated to boost the tourism industry by bringing in novelty experiences and a unique savoir-faire to the leisure and entertainment offering.
Caesars Entertainment will operate the two luxury hotels on Bluewaters. The hotels are expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2018. The exclusive 178-key Caesars Palace Bluewaters Dubai, will be the world’s second Caesars Palace. It will feature one indoor and two outdoor swimming pools, a 630 square-metre spa and a health centre with stunning views of Ain Dubai, as well as six restaurants. The property will also include a dedicated event hall, a well-appointed meeting room and a business centre. It will also offer conference services and facilities. [Caesars will also operate the beach club and conference centre.]

Caesars Bluewaters Dubai, the second hotel, will feature 301 rooms, two outdoor swimming pools, three world-class restaurants, three meeting rooms equipped to provide business services, and an 850 square-metre event hall. Both hotels will have an array of excellent amenities and services and offer direct access to a 450-metre private beach.

The collaboration is intended to provide new experiences that will allow visitors to enjoy dining and entertainment at the same time, thus enriching the offering that Meraas destinations extend to families and individuals in Dubai – comprising shopping, leisure, entertainment, hospitality, dining and cultural activities.

An international tourist destination

Bluewaters is a modern, family-oriented island destination with a pioneering spirit that blends waterfront living with the exhilaration of urban city life.  
In addition to luxury hotels and apartments, the island comprises 10 apartment buildings with a total of 700 units offering stunning views of the Arabian Gulf. Residential amenities include state-of-the-art gymnasiums, swimming pools, landscaped gardens, basketball courts and children’s play areas.

The retail experience at Bluewaters stretches across the island with a total of 200 units located on first-floor levels at the boulevard and under residential buildings. These units will host a combination of retail, restaurants, cafes and entertainment experiences, with more than 4,500 parking spaces for residents and visitors.

To facilitate access to Bluewaters, Meraas has developed, in cooperation with Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, a bridge that connects Bluewaters directly to Sheikh Zayed Road. Leveraging cutting-edge technology and mobility solutions, Meraas is also working on a group transit system that will shuttle passengers in fully-automated vehicles on four-minute trips between the island and Dubai Metro. The island will also connect with The Beach via a 265-metre pedestrian bridge.
